It’s been a while since I did a “What I Sold” post, so I’m going to share this recently sold item. It’s the Leslie Sansone Weight Loss Bootcamp DVD!
This is a fun DVD that I sold twice.
The first time was right after I started selling on Amazon. I was scanning in items around the house and found that Leslie’s Weight Loss Bootcamp was worth much more than I expected. I sent it into Amazon and sold it for $49.99.
I believe this specific DVD sells high because it’s hard to find, has new moves and uses resistance bands. This interval training workout is definitely different than most of Leslie’s earlier walking programs that focuses on her 4 basic walking steps.
Here’s the Keepa statistics that shows past pricing & sales rank:
I sold this DVD on July 14, 2014 which was before DVDs became restricted. I was lucky that the July 2014 selling date qualified me to remain ungated in DVDs with a MSRP of $25 or less.
Amazon’s Video, DVD & Blu-ray Help Page explains why the date mattered:
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide a great shopping experience, beginning September 15, 2014, sellers who have not sold any items in the Video, DVD, & Blu-ray category between September 6, 2013, and September 15, 2014, will be required to apply to sell in the category.
Additionally, sellers who have sold one or more items in the category between September 6, 2013, and September 15, 2014, will be required to apply to sell DVDs with Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) of $25 or greater. All sellers in this group may continue to list DVDs with MSRPs below $25 and Blu-rays at any MSRP without further action.
eBay to Amazon Flip
I recently sold the exercise DVD a second time:
This time I bought it from eBay for $24.00 and sold it on Amazon for $58.98.
The Bootcamp DVD is actually a kit that comes with exercise bands. Most of the time when you see the DVD for sale, it only includes the DVD. However, I had the exercise bands from when I purchased the kit several years ago.
Since I don’t use the bands, I included them with the DVD that I purchased from eBay and sold on Amazon.
Thrift Store to eBay Flip
Of course, if you’re not able to sell DVDs on Amazon, you can always sell them on eBay. Therefore, be on the look out (BOLO) for the Leslie Sansone: Walk Weight Loss Bootcamp DVD when you’re at the garage sales and in the thrift stores!
Tip: Scan Everything!
Scan everything! If you come across a group of “like” items, sometimes it does pay to scan them all in. I have other Leslie Sansone DVDs and none of them sell for $40 or more used. If I stopped scanning before I came to the Bootcamp DVD, I would have lost out on some money!
Do You have a BOLO?
