Last night, a Facebook friend posted that she gets up every morning and spends a few minutes reading her morning affirmations. It’s a daily habit that she’s getting into and she said those morning affirmations have made a positive impact on her life.
Normally, after reading such posts, I just move on to the next one. But since I didn’t feel like looking at Facebook anymore, I googled “morning affirmations” to learn more about them.
Wow. Just like I’m late with getting on the eBay train, YouTube and other things, I’ve been missing out on the power of saying, reading or thinking a few positive statements every morning before I start my day:
I am a good person. I am confident in my abilities to succeed. I am strong & healthy. I am a loving and caring spouse. I am in control of my life. I move forward with reaching my goals every day. I choose to be happy.
I’m not completely new to affirmations as sometimes I will whisper a few positive & encouraging words to myself before going into an unfamiliar situation or before facing a situation that I previously failed at. But I have never thought about making affirmations a daily part of my routine until now. And really, there’s no reason why not to. Actually, it seems very smart to incorporate affirmations into your life: they take little time, they’re free, they won’t hurt you and they can change your life for the better.
Back to last night….After reading through dozens of affirmations on Pinterest, I made the decision to start my next morning with a few minutes of positive affirmations.
But first, I needed to sleep so I listened to a few minutes of evening affirmations that I found on YouTube:
This morning, when I woke up, here is what I said to myself:
I am Happy to be Alive…I am Strong & Healthy…I am Smart…I am Successful…I am Focused…I have an Amazing Business…I am The Master of Sourcing…
It’s no secret to most of you that finding a sufficient volume of new inventory has always been my biggest struggle with Amazon FBA. To remedy that, I’ve been changing up my sourcing routine. Shoes are still my main focus, but now I’ve added in books to the mix. In the past week, I’ve been to a library book sale, a garage sale and I even signed up for a month of eFLIP (~affiliate) to help me find books online.
Normally when I start sourcing, I normally say one of these two things to myself: I never find anything, so why am I wasting my time (negative) or I will find 10 profitable items today (goal-oriented). But from here on out, I will start every sourcing trip with these six words:
Just for fun, I made a list of Positive Affirmations for Amazon FBA Sellers:
I’m sure there are a hundred more affirmations that can be included on the list. If you think of any new ones or if you have affirmations that you say to yourself, please share them in the comments below or on my Facebook page! If you’re an affirmation newbie like me, join me in saying a few affirmations tomorrow morning.
